The first wave of downloadable wrestlers for RetroMania Wrestling will include James Storm, Mr. Hughes and Chris Bey! Chris Bey: Chris Bey participated in our "IndieMania" Tournament that occurred in late 2019 and into early 2020. In this tournament of fan voting, 32 independent wrestlers at the time were placed into brackets, with the eventual winner earning a spot on the launch roster of RetroMania Wrestling. While the tournament was ultimately won by WARHORSE, as voted on by the fans, Chris Bey received huge support from wrestling fans from all over. Throughout the entire process, the Retrosoft Studios team also became big fans of him so we're proud to have Chris Bey as a part of RetroMania Wrestlng!

James Storm: James Storm will also be coming to RetroMania Wrestling! The former World Heavyweight Champion was originally scheduled to be a part of the game's launch roster, but as they say in wrestling: "card subject to change." Cowboy James Storm brings his near 25 years of experience in the ring to the official sequel to WrestleFest!

Mr. Hughes: If you paid close attention during our past reveals, you may have noticed that Mr. Hughes could be spotted in WARHORSE's arena. Mr. Hughes is known for his runs with WWE, WCW and ECW in the 1990s, which included stints as the bodyguard for both Triple H and Chris Jericho in the World Wrestling Federation. Hughes' appearance in RetroMania Wrestling marks his video game debut.

Who else would you like to see added as a downloadable wrestler?

The entire team at Retrosoft Studios are very excited to share that Chris Bey is going to be the first DLC wrestler added to the game!

This download will be on us, and Chris Bey will be available shortly after the game launches in 2020.

Many of you will remember that Chris Bey was one of the last remaining wrestlers when we ran "IndieMania" back in December, our series of online polls where you, the fans, helped decide who would be one of the members of the launch roster.
As previously mentioned, if the game has enough support at launch, then more downloadable content will be made available. Chris Bey and his unique style join a roster that includes like the likes of the Road Warriors, Tommy Dreamer, current NWA World Champion Nick Aldis, the Blue World Order, Matt Cardona, Brian Myers, and so many more.

Over 100 independent wrestlers were nominated for IndieMania, and only 32 were entered.

With a spot on the RetroMania Wrestling launch roster up for grabs, the winner of IndieMania has finally been decided.

Welcome Warhorse to RetroMania Wrestling! We gave the fans the opportunity to help us decide the next member of the roster, and Warhorse's fans came up in a big way.

Warhorse's road in the tournament wasn't exactly easy, with matches against Huffmanly, Caleb Konley, Simon Miller, Gentleman Jervis, and then Matt Cross in the finals.

The tournament, which received 46,270 fan votes in total throughout also included the likes Matt Cross, Gentleman Jervis, Simon Miller, RJ City, Colby Corino, Luke Hawx, Chris Bey, Anthony Greene, Sugar Dunkerton, and Alex Zayne.

We've included an early preview of the game sprites for Warhorse. Remember, if your favorite wrestler didn't come out victorious in IndieMania, not all hope is lost. If the game has enough support once it launches, we'll be looking to do several wrestler DLC packs, one of which will be focused on some of the top participants from IndieMania!

Our entire team at Retrosoft Studios has some exciting news regarding RetroMania Wrestling!

For the past several months, we’ve referred to RetroMania Wrestling as the spiritual successor to the 1991 arcade hit known as WrestleFest.

Today, we’re very proud to share that the game is now the official sequel to WrestleFest!

Not only that, but we’ve also acquired the rights to all of the characters from the 1985 arcade wrestling game Mat Mania. You may remember Dynamite Tommy and the Insane Warrior from that game, and now they’ll both be making appearances in RetroMania Wrestling’s Story Mode! While they won’t be playable wrestlers at first, they may be a part of a future DLC release.
