The first wave of downloadable wrestlers for RetroMania Wrestling will include James Storm, Mr. Hughes and Chris Bey! Chris Bey will be a free download shortly after our console launch, and all other DLC moving forward, while paid, will be very affordable. We thank you immensely for your continued support. Chris Bey: Chris Bey participated in our "IndieMania" Tournament that occurred in late 2019 and into early 2020. In this tournament of fan voting, 32 independent wrestlers at the time were placed into brackets, with the eventual winner earning a spot on the launch roster of RetroMania Wrestling. While the tournament was ultimately won by WARHORSE, as voted on by the fans, Chris Bey received huge support from wrestling fans from all over. Throughout the entire process, the Retrosoft Studios team also became big fans of him so we're proud to have Chris Bey as a part of RetroMania Wrestlng!
James Storm: James Storm will also be coming to RetroMania Wrestling! The former World Heavyweight Champion was originally scheduled to be a part of the game's launch roster, but as they say in wrestling: "card subject to change." Cowboy James Storm brings his near 25 years of experience in the ring to the official sequel to WrestleFest! Mr. Hughes: If you paid close attention during our past reveals, you may have noticed that Mr. Hughes could be spotted in WARHORSE's arena. Mr. Hughes is known for his runs with WWE, WCW and ECW in the 1990s, which included stints as the bodyguard for both Triple H and Chris Jericho in the World Wrestling Federation. Hughes' appearance in RetroMania Wrestling marks his video game debut. Who else would you like to see added as a downloadable wrestler?

While this is later than we (and you) had hoped for, 2020 did present its challenges, and quality is extremely important to us. We wanted to make sure that this game was as polished, playable, and fun as possible. With that said, we appreciate everyone's support and patience. We cannot wait for you to play RetroMania Wrestling, whether it's on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam. In this week's episode of the Developer's Vlog, there is a ton to unpack!
And there's much more. Check out the latest episode of the Developer's Vlog. As we continue our march towards the release date of February 26th, know that we appreciate all of the kind words we've received from our community, as well as your support and patience. It's almost time to rumble!
As previously mentioned, if the game has enough support at launch, then more downloadable content will be made available. Chris Bey and his unique style join a roster that includes like the likes of the Road Warriors, Tommy Dreamer, current NWA World Champion Nick Aldis, the Blue World Order, Matt Cardona, Brian Myers, and so many more.
As first reported on the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast, Matt Cardona and Brian Myers are the final two members of the launch roster for RetroMania Wrestling! The two wrestling superstars are most known for their time with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), and are now headed to the RetroMania Arena. The launch roster for RetroMania Wrestling is now set at 16 superstars.
In exciting news, we still have some more to reveal about the game before launch! For updates, keep it right here throughout the process leading up to launch, and don't forget to follow us on social media. We thank you for your support!
As we get closer to launch, we’ll be announcing more wrestlers that will be joining the game’s roster. From the entire team at Retrosoft Studios, we greatly appreciate your support and can’t wait to release even more information on the game, including the release date. We’re working on getting preorders live.
We've included an early preview of the game sprites for Warhorse. Remember, if your favorite wrestler didn't come out victorious in IndieMania, not all hope is lost. If the game has enough support once it launches, we'll be looking to do several wrestler DLC packs, one of which will be focused on some of the top participants from IndieMania!
