RetroMania Wrestling is the official sequel to the 1991 arcade hit "WrestleFest!" Here, we want to address some of our more frequently asked questions.
Is this a WrestleFest Remake?
It's the official sequel to that game. With that said, we have a new roster, new mechanics, and new game modes. We're incredibly proud to carry on the great tradition of classic wrestling games started by Technos of Japan.
What's the Release Date?
As of this time, we don't have a set release date. We're targeting early 2020.
What platforms will this be available on?
The Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Will you be able to create a wrestler?
This feature will not be included at launch, as we're focused on making the gameplay as fun as possible. However, if the game has enough support when it launches, then it's certainly a possibility.
How many wrestlers will be in the game?
The initial launch roster will have between 14 and 16 Wrestlers, with the option for more as downloadable content post-launch if the game has enough support.
What will the game cost?
We don't have a set price at this time, but expect to hear that soon. The game will not be more than $30.00 USD if that helps!
Are you looking for BETA Testers?
Unfortunately, not at this time. If that changes, we'll be sure to share the information on our social channels!
Will there be more wrestling promotions added?
We're not sure at this time. As of right now, we're incredibly excited to have both House of Hardcore and the National Wrestling Alliance involved in the game.
Will there be online Play?
That's certainly a possibility if the game has enough support post-launch. Right now, we're focused on making the gameplay as fun as possible.
Will Demolition be added to the game so that they can face the Road Warriors?
Will there be Cage Matches in the game?
Yes, with two styles of cages: the fence and the classic blue bars.
Will we be able to have cpu vs. cpu matches?
This is likely, but stay tuned on this one.
Will there be a physical release?
As of right now, this game will be digital download only, but we are actively looking into a physical run.
Will the game feature a battle royal like in WrestleFest?
Yes, it will be what you remember, except that it will be called the "Retro Rumble."
Will you be able to create custom Championships?
Just like with a potential Create a Wrestler option, this will be dependent on if the game has enough support post-launch.
Can I buy a copy for my WrestleFest Mame Cabinet?
It depends what you're running MAME on. If PC, then yes.
