RetroMania Wrestling is a “pick up and play” arcade wrestling game with beautiful 2D sprites, incredible backgrounds and fast-paced arcade style game play. The RetroMania Wrestling roster features wrestling superstars both from the past and the present, including names like the Road Warriors, Tommy Dreamer, Nick Aldis, Matt Cardona, and more.

Mike hermann, Team LeadMike is a long time wrestling and retro video game fan. Mike's background is in accounting and finance software having 13 years experience of managing teams on various levels of software implementations. Mike has a master’s in software engineering and an undergraduate degree in Accounting, and is the Owner of Retrosoft Studios, LLC. Mike's role in development of the game includes game design, QA, budget management, hiring manager and project management and an occasional edit to some pixel art. It was Mike's dream to make a sequel to the game he loved so much as a kid and now he is doing it!

Michael archer, licensing & business developmentMichael is utilizing his business development experience as a gaming producer, brand developer, and lifelong devotee of action and sports-related concepts into robust strategies for RetroMania Wrestling. In his career, Michael has overseen complete product chain from initiation and development to production and sales. Michael combines high-profile licensees with established brands to expose product to new markets in this limitless industry. Michael's work experience in the gaming and wrestling industries include jobs with Acclaim Games Inc for over 7 years and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) for over 14 years. Michael has worked on more than 50 games in some capacity throughout his career. Michael is helping guide the overall project and specifically utilizing his contacts in the wrestling industry to help with license agreements.

Charles webb, Lead ProgrammerCharles is a co-founder of Faux-Operative Games. A UCSB Graduate, Charles has been active in the Game Maker community under the name ‘InsanelySpicyCrab.’ Charles works primarily with Game Maker Studio and is most known for his work on Ruin of the Reckless. He posts on this blog under the name ‘Stargrove.’. Charles is co-designing the game with Mike Hermann and responsible for the majority of the code base.

bill stanton, art directorBill has been doing pixel art since the 90s. Bill has managed art departments, done a lot of design (written, game concept, layout and that sort in addition to drawn), met crazy deadlines, pulled 3 day sleepless crunchers and even done some newer console stuff. He designed Steel Harbinger on PS1 and Star Trek 25th Ann. on Gameboy (B&W), and did most of the art for both of those titles. He has even worked on EGA games for Britannica. He mainly textures and illustration/UI/pixel 2D but have worked on Maya, 3D Studio, ZBrush, done low poly models, vertex lighting and more. Bill is the most experienced artist on the team and is managing a team of 3 character artists.

Fran gonzales, illustratorFran is an art teacher in Spain that Mike Hermann has known for almost 10 years. Fran has worked on several published games. He is co-owner of Fu Essence design studio. Fran will work on any illustrations we use for the game. Fran created the illustrations that appear on this web page.

corey annis, animatorCorey Annis is a video game artist of 12 years. He has spent 5 of those years in the mobile games industry, working on titles such as Gun Bros and Super K.O. Boxing II, as well as contributed to dozens of other mobile games of the past. More recently, he has created character sprites for the game Wolfsong (on Steam), art for the mobile game Mutant Monster Balls, as well as contributed to a half dozen Spriter game art packs (also available on Steam and other stores). Corey is working on the environments, UI artwork, and character animations.

wade kerford, quality assuranceWade, along with Mike Hermann, are the resident experts of classic wrestling arcade games. Wade has a very diverse background and is a very detail-oriented tester. Wade is a super fan of old school wrestling arcade games and a jack of all trades. Wade helps out with concept art, documentation, and design but his main focus will be on testing.
